Families at 126 synagogue Tel-Aviv
We love having kids here. Not in the "be quiet and sit still" kind of way, but in the "this is your home too" kind of way.
Whether you need a place to park the stroller, a hot meal for the kids, or a recommendation for a local pediatrician, we’ve got you covered.
Here’s what you can expect
We make it easy for you to come to shul.
Stroller Valet
We have a dedicated spot to park them during services with someone to watch over them for you.

Children's Services
Starting at 10:45 AM, we split into two age groups so the content is relevant for them.
The Kids Kiddush
This is the main event. Immediately after the children's services, we serve a real lunch. We're talking schnitzel, pasta, kugel, veggies, and more.
A printed educational sheet designed for parents and children to learn together, available in English and Hebrew.
During Shacharit, kids under Bar/Bat Mitzvah are invited up to the Bimah to lead Anim Zemirot together. It's open to anyone who wants to join in and knows the tefilla.
Need a break? The playroom is stocked with toys and open for parents and kids to use whenever you need it.

Saturday Night Learning
Parent-Child Beit Midrash: On Saturday nights (Motzai Shabbat), we keep it going. This is for kids from Kita Aleph (approx. age 6) and up. You learn a bit of Torah with your child, hang out with other families, and we provide a light supper. It’s a great way to start the week.

The Parents' WhatsApp
This is where the real info lives. It’s not just for event updates. Need a recommendation for a dentist? Confused about an after-school activity? Need urgent medical advice? Ask the group. Someone else has been there.

Navigating the System
Once a year, we host an event specifically to explain the Tel Aviv religious education system. If you are an Oleh or just new to the neighborhood, this is essential for understanding how registration and schools actually work here.
We go big on the chagim.

Simchat Torah
Flags, treats during services, a family dinner, and the special Kol HaNearim blessing for the kids in the morning.

Chanukah
A big party with breakfast and, obviously, donuts.

Purim
Megilah Reading, a full Seudah (festive meal) with entertainment for all the family.

Yom Haatzmaut
A musical service with flags and a lot of energy.

Shavuot
Parents & Children Learning on the night of Shavuot, with cheesecake and ice cream. Then, on Shavuot morning, following our special Tefilat Yeladim at 10:30 AM, the children enjoy a festive ice cream party.
A Community That Keeps Growing
What started with a few families at 126 quickly became something much bigger. Kids made friends, parents built connections, and a real community formed around shared Shabbat meals, chagim, WhatsApp groups, and life in Tel Aviv.
That growth eventually led to the creation of an affiliated community: Beit Knesset Magid.
Located on Nordau 63 in Old North Tel Aviv, Magid operates from the new Magid Community Center, home of the historic Bar Ilan Synagogue led by Rabbi Imanuel Ber.
Like 126, Magid is built around warm, family-friendly Jewish life, with kids groups, play areas, and community programming for young families and professionals.
While operating independently, Magid and Ben Yehuda 126 work closely together, creating a shared community experience across Tel Aviv.
